Preparing for Jewel Crafting

Okay, a few of us are already collecting material to excel us in Jewel Crafting. I have found some beta tester postings on what is to be expected. I composed a list of items we need to collect. It is sorted by lvl(0 to 375). You will have to take up mining. At skill 20 you will train "prospecting" which will destroy mined ore for the chance of a gem. This is a catch 20 being that smelted bars are the common ingredient in producing items. I don't know if using prospect will be like d/e and give skill gain.

Notice they are using "mojo" ..! I just sold off a bunch of that stuff recently.

Side notes:

Copper is key. You will be using it in recipes up to skill lvl 195
Bronze used recipes will only take you to 170.
Mithril used recipes only will take you to 275.
Thorium used recipes will take you to 320.

So stop saving up gems.. and start saving up ore!

no mineing for mua! Ive been saveing sence i heard of gemcrafting. I have 500+ gems of all levels.

Did you take a look at the recipes I linked to? You will need lots of ore with your jewels you craft.

Kinda like making a ring, sure you have gems but you need something to hold it

aww, so i cant be a disenchanter?

(I also do not want to drop skinning, so im gonna get mineing to 300 and save the ore and drop mineing for gemcrafting)

Or you can just start stocking up on the ores while they are not so expensive.
